War-reportage 1995 -2005 by Peter Strandberg

1995.Liberia,Guinea Conakry and Sierra Leone.The RUF -rebels (Revolutionary United Front) and their struggle in the war against the government army in East Sierra Leone. Sudan, Civil War. Afghanistan. The fighting between the Mudjahedin forces and the Talibans in and around Kabul.

1996.Philippines,the fighting on Mindanao between government forces and Muslim rebels. Liberia Civil War.Angola, Cabinda Enclave, the long  armed independence struggle by Flec-guerrilla against the Angolan occupation army.

Uganda and Rwanda,new rebel groups fighting along the Congolese border,including Hutu Militia.

1997.Eritrea,Sudan,new Sudanese rebel movement(Beja Congress) fighting along the border.Algeria,the dirty war between Algerian security forces and Islamic guerrilla. Liberia, war in the north.

1998.Sierra Leone, the RUF-rebels struggle in the east against Nigerian ECOMOG forces.Congo(Zaire), the "second" rebel war in the east.

1999.Congo(Zaire),the "second" rebel war. Eritrea, the war between Eritrea and Ethiopia.

2000.West Sahara, the conflict between Polisario guerrilla and Morocco.India, the 50 year plus struggle between armed  Naga Rebels (National socialist Council for Nagaland) for an independent Nagaland in the Northeast India.

2001.Ethiopia.The bushwar in South Ethiopia between OLF-guerrilla(Oromo Liberation Front) and the government army.Sudan,the civil-war between the SPLA-guerrilla and the goverment forces in oil-district Bahr el-Ghazal.

Afghanistan, after September 11th, the Northern alliance and US troops war against the Talibans/al-Qaeda.

Afghanistan, the push against Kabul and the South by the Northern alliance and US forces.

2002.Somalia,the Civil War now with new Islamic militia. Lebanon, the Hezbollahs struggle in the South. Uganda, the brutal war by the rebel movement LRA (Lords Resistance Army) in north Uganda.

2003. Iraq, during Saddam Hussein and up to the US invasion. Iraq, the war "after" in Iraq and the PKK-guerrilla in North Kurdistan.

2004.Nepal. The Maoist guerrilla war against the government army.
